This policy explains what information Stoqlabs (blog.stoqlabs.com) collects when you visit, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: this is a personal blog. There are no accounts, no comments, no newsletter and no ads. The only data collected is for understanding how many people read the site and which posts are useful.

What is collected
Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic. It sets cookies (such as _ga) in your browser and collects information like the pages you view, how you arrived (for example, from a search engine), your browser and device type, and your approximate location based on your IP address. It also records some interactions, such as scrolling, clicks on outbound links and file downloads.
This data is processed by Google. You can read how Google uses it at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. To opt out, you can block cookies in your browser or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
On-site visitor statistics
The site also keeps its own simple statistics with Koko Analytics, which runs on this server and does not use cookies. It stores aggregated counts such as page views, visitors per day and referring sites. To avoid counting the same visitor twice in a day, it uses a temporary anonymous identifier that is reset daily. This data is not shared with anyone and is kept for up to three years.
Security
To protect the admin login page from password-guessing attacks, the IP addresses of failed login attempts are recorded. This only applies to someone trying to log in to the admin area, not to regular readers. The web server does not keep access logs of regular visits.
Web fonts
The site loads the Pretendard font from the jsDelivr content delivery network. When your browser downloads the font, jsDelivr receives your IP address, as with any web request.
What is not collected
- No user accounts or sign-ups for readers.
- No comments or contact forms.
- No advertising or ad tracking.
- Your information is never sold.
Cookies
Readers only receive cookies from Google Analytics, described above. WordPress sets its own login cookies only for the site administrator. You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings, and the site will still work normally.
Where data is stored
The site is hosted on Oracle Cloud in Japan. Backups of the site, which include the on-site statistics described above, are stored in Microsoft OneDrive. Google Analytics data is stored by Google. Some of these services may process data outside your country.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to its use. Because this site does not identify readers by name or email, there is usually very little to look up. If you have a request, email smin9208@gmail.com and I’ll answer as soon as I can.
Links to other sites
Posts link to other websites, including the main site stoqlabs.com. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn’t cover.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If the site starts collecting something new, such as adding ads or a newsletter, this page will be updated first, along with the date at the top.
